I seen this dog was a Gold Ch too listed as a performance and SS sire. Anyone hunted with this dog and what line is he out of?

I guess this would be the dog that JC Ellis owns or owned. I believe he was out of McGruff. I do not know much about English breeding, but he was a coondog on the nights I hunted with him. Liked to be by himself with a coon.

Moon is one of the finest hounds a man will ever hunt with. He is out of Neuse river Mcgruff and a hartime bred female. Moon is owned by JC Ellis who is typically a walker man. They use moon now as a pleasure dog, and train dogs with him. Jimmy Burden told me a few moths ago at the PKC World hunt that he was at his house in the pen, and was still the best coondog that they owned. Also said he would be there till he died. They do not push him or advertise him, but I think they would breed him. Some of us breeders need to breed some females to him. He has alot to contribute to our breed.

He sounds like a good one. Do you have any more info on his pedigree? Also do you guys know of any pups going out of him?
