pup gets sick in box?

I just bought a new pup a few weeks ago and everytime i put it in the dog box it imeaditly starts drooling and vomiting. I dont even have to drive anywhere and she does this. I load her up and drive her around 4-5 times a week trying to break her of it but it isnt working. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Sometimes it takes them a long time to get used to it, I've
had a couple through the years that were still getting car
sick when they were running and treeing.

Got one

We've got one that I didn't think was ever going to get better but recently he has started doing better . He's 13 months old and has been hauled quite a bit . We've been hunting him hard and he just the last few times has gone without making a mess in the box. I'm only feeding him in the mornings or after we come in from hunting.

Try putting another dog in the box with the pup, I have found that works some.

Also try some of the little snack treats for them to chew on. Works for me when traveling.

I had one that was awful about getting sick and he never grew out of it! The vet told me to give him dromomine for motion sickness.

Sometimes it takes awhile. I've had pups do the same thing. Eventually they usually just get over it.

I have a pup that was doing the same thing, just get sloppy wet in the dogbox. I would ride it and ride, and now she is fine. The last time she did it was right after she ate a hotpockett, peperoni.

I had one 6-7 yrs ago and an old man told me to ride her just tied in the bed for a while. He said she wouldnt be as nervous riding in the wide open as she was confined in a box. Dont know whether it had anything to do with it or not but after about 5 or 6 nights of hunting I tried putting her back in the box and no more sick dog. Really havent had one that would get sick since but I have always kept that in mind to try if I do.

motion sickness

I've got a young dog like that, I found that if I leave the tail gate down so the dog can see out, he gets sick. If the tail-gate gets shut so the dog can't see the road , he does pretty decent.
