I just wanted all houndsman, especially you big game hunters to see the Feb 2010 issue of Bloodlines page 10 HEADS UP and page 130 HSUS targets houndsmen. I hope we all will respond to this and to do it in a tastefull way. I know we should just hit them and leave them where they lay. But we can not act like that anymore, we have to be smart because they will look for and capitallize on our mistakes. All dog hunters of any breed or any type game we all need to be in this together. Come on guys let your voices be heard for the hounds. jOIN IN ON THIS SUBJECT. WHAT DO YOU THINK. GO TO HSUS WEB SITE WATCH THERE VIDEO IS MAKES ALL HOUND HUNTERS LOOK LIKE CRAP. IT WILL MAKE YOU SICK.

I tell ya some people just dont get it we as houndsmen treat our hounds better than most people out there who may just have your typical dog and in the video those starved dogs sure didnt look like hounds. I like her statement of using high tec equipment to locate the dogs well my dear that high tec equipment should tell you we think enough of our hounds to lay down are hard earned money to buy that high tec equipment so we can locate our hounds and retrieve them so they may go home. I will never understand people who have blinders on there eyes. and also if they did the proper research they would see that houndsmen and all hunters who buy the hunting permits and work side by side with the dnr from all 50 states in this great free nation we all live in have done more for the wildlife than any other group out there if it was not for are dollars pouring in every year then the wildlife will suffer. sorry guys i am blabn now but it just really upsets me when we as sportsmen and houndsmen are looked at like we are all blood thirsty heartless humans.

All of you bear hunters had better take a look at her sight. She wants people to write letters to end hound hunting for bears in your state. She has a list of the states where it is legal. They are advising people what and how to write and who to send it to. So come on bear hunters e-mail her it is on her web page and on here. Flood her with e-mail over and over. Get everyone you know who hunts anything to join in. Lets go before it is to late.

Hey guys, I write the Your Dog, Your Rights column for Bloodlines. I'd like to write a response to the HSUS 'facts' about hound hunting, but I really need your help. I want the facts to come from the real dog owners to refute the garbage put out there by the AR's who probably don't even have pet dogs. Bear hunter, you have some good points. But an e-mail will never hurt, and it can be short and quick. Just send them a short message saying you disagree. And encourage all hunters you know to do the same.

Did you watch there video? Look at there site? If she has her way the only thing you have as bear hunter will be this forum name. Think about it. If you check out her site there are alot of bear hunting info there. She has a list of states that allow hound hunting of bears. She is asking all who read it to contact politicians and anyone else with letters asking for this to be stopped. I have e-mailed her and she is really going at the state of VA right next to you guys in WV. Who better to get the good word out than you guys who are the true die hard bear hunters. I hope the bear hunters all will e-mail her. Alot of ther coonhunters are. We need to stick together, state by state, type of hunting, by the breeds we hunt and get this ball rolling.

Rob, I learned from experiance you cant argue with her type.For my part I will try and educate the uninformed and watch dog the legislature. And no I didnt look at the site,Ive looked at enough in the past to know how onesided and "warped" they are.

SAM you are probably right about the video. But I guess anything that any of us dose to try and battle this situation is a help. I just thought the way that MEGAN SEWELL is after the bear hunters that more of you would weigh in.

You are right in saying that she would be impossible to talk to, she is very opinionated and one sided. But I will try. Just maybe aggrevate her a little.

All by the way she has probably already read what you and I have said this morn. She has e-mailed me and repeated things I hhave said. So maybe we shall say HELLO TO MEGAN.

I do not full much with akc in fact not at all due to there not being any of there events around here.

I recieved an e-mail from yellow tail wines about there monetary donation to HSUS ( $100.000.00 ) she said she thanked me and all other consumers who have e-mailed about HSUS. She said they plan to continue to donate to HSUS but they will only donate to the HSUS disater relief team. I saw somewhere that HSUS pulled out of Katrina. If anyone knows more of this situation please e-mail them and put it on the forum.

Big game hunters will be first on the HSUS agenda. The sport has come under fire from every animal rights group and many states have LOST. The HSUS successfully got dove hunting banned in Michigan and came close on bear hunting with hounds.

rmcmillen, myself and many other coon hunters are fighting back. If we don't we'll all lose. Please fight fire with fire go after any group that supports the HSUS. You can go to the UKC Coonhunting Main Page and read all the contacts you can send email to.

Like someone said on the coonhound thread, next time you cut a hound loose remember the day will come when it's illegal.

If you're not as passionate about keeping your sport as they are about taking it away you're GOING TO LOSE. It's just a matter of time if you don't fight back.

The only way to shut the AR groups down is to cut off their money. The HSUS raises over $130 million a year and uses that money to lobby against hunting. Many people don't realize what they're donating to. Educate them, If you hunt the HSUS is your enemy.
