"Cammo Jug" blood...

I would like to know who is hunting/breeding this blood...and what if any differences you have noticed when comparing it to McDuffy stuff....I would like to hear the good AND the bad.

Thanks,

Catch

Whatryagonado

Instead, we're just stuck with yours Justin ??Smith?? By the way Justin has the best every thing!

Catchdog, it was nice talking to you the other night. I'm afraid that you will not find many people out there that will let you know that they have Jug pups. The first reason is that of the ones that turned out well, those (for the most part) have been bought up and stuffed away. I can think of quite a number of those. The second reason is that there is some animosity in the breed toward John Wick and the Jug dog. Why...this is goes deeper than I have the ability to explain. It has nothing to do with the dog otherwise there would have never been a single registered dog of any kind in the history of the breed. Also, his registration was voted on at one of the yearly meetings and passed (unanimously, I think). I don't believe that it actually would have to do with John, as to my knowlege, he went through the proper procedures and got Jug registered on the up-and-up.
I can tell you that of the ones that I have seen that did turn out well...they turned out VERY WELL. In fact, I have herd some pretty amazing statements that I would have had to see for my self to believe if I hadn't already.
If you would like some references on these dogs I would be happy to give you a few phone numbers to call. Give me a call in the evening some time and I'll be happy to do that.
By the way, if you are still reading this Justin, and I assume you are, you have been caught. The only reason you could be reading this is that you are looking for a fight here on the board. You are wasting my time and in addintion, you are wasting Catchdog's time also. Catchdog happens to know you and without asking, I think it's fair to say that he knows your game already. You are problem starter. If I hear from you again you'll have to find another name to claim.

Jug was alot more popular before he was bred to much ... to think that Leopard hunters don't want anyone to know that Jug is producing good pups is absurd , coonhunters don't know what modesty is when it comes to young dogs doing good.

Justin,
Is there anything that you're not a self proclaimed expert on?? I will answer your question the same as I did the first time that you asked it...Don Allison has a good male in OK...try him. What is your interest in what kind of dog I get anyway?? What first hand experience do you have with this blood that deems your opinion even worth HEARING?? And who asked for it??

Hunted with Mr. Allison and Vyrl Keeter several years ago I believe at Greenfield Illinois. Do you know anything about the blood line of Don's dog? Thanks Perry

Jug blood

To all: Call John and/or Randy Mcdill in Mississippi. They were serious houndmen for 50 -60 yrs. John did tons of competition hunting. They have switched over to all leopards and they will never have another hound. Their best dogs are from Jug. Just cause you don't here about it doesn't mean they aren't out there. Most good hunters don't spend time on the **** computer arguing with wanna be hunters.

Call them you may be surprised!!!

You asked for the good and the bad ... not the good and the good to make you feel better about coming off with a few dollars for a dog .

The good is Jug probably has enough hound in him to throw some good pups over the right bitches ... the bad is that he is less popular after folks bred to him than before .

I've owned and hunted with a fair sample of Leopards and other curs ... they can be tough on you when they piggyback and will steal trees from another dog . Sometimes they look good doing it and sometimes they look bad. They don't look nearly as good when cut alone in timber where they have to hunt out and do some tracking .

Nobody wanted to respond until they could argue about it .... or cry about it I guess.

PM me Don's number and I'll try to hunt with him and see if yall are right ... but for those of yall telling me his dogs are good and haven't even hunted with him ... that's bad habit to get into ... phone hunting and putting your stamp on a dog you never hunted with ... harrr-rrumpphhh.

First...

First I would like to give some credit to the Dam of the McDill's dogs that they are having such good results. Her name is Bell and she is out of Laker's Speed and Laker's Kate, a well proven cross. There is a portion of Jug and Kate that share some blood. It's back a little but could have something to do with the way they click as a breeding pair. Jug is a very good dog and a very strong reproducer but as with any breeding the dog only gets half of the credit. I sure do like what happens when Jug gets put on that family though. It's unreal!
Justin, you can't posibly try to tell any of these folks anything while you lie aobut your last name...and you should have been spanked more as a child.
For those of you who are in my area and would like to hunt with a good Leopard, it would be my pleasure to take you hunting as long as you are curtious and respectful and don't mind if we have an "off" night. Even my very best have a bad night once in a while.
Catchdog, I think that this thread has been tainted and it may be time to delete it. I'm dissapointed that it got off track and would be happy to give you a pile of phone numbers of folks that like the Leopards from many different bloodlines.

Good Luck,
Dan McDonough
