HELP!!! My dog box was broken into at the world hunt in Springfield, TN!!!!!

While my son and I was waiting for the announcement of the world champion on Saturday night my dog box was broken into. We had hunted the mini slam and were scratched with another guy from Alabama on an opossum. We pulled into the fairgrounds and parked beside the guy from Alabama and his buddies who was driving a maroon Toyota Tacoma extended cab not 50 yards from the headquarters building. You could see inside the building from where we were parked. We were driving a Black extended cab Ford Ranger with an aluminum tool box and a black Heitage dog box in the back. Whoever got this had to have seen us inside and watched us and been parked close to us because it was alot of items. I would appreciate any information leading to me getting these items back. So if anyone seen anything suspicious Saturday night at the fairgrounds or hear about seeing any of these particular items for sale please let us know.

ITEMS:
Wildlife TRX 1000 tracking box
Yagi antenna in a blue pouch
Cajun 21 volt belt light with a cujun pouch on it
Tracker Maxima 5000 tracking system
Blazer tiny 21 volt belt light with wick pouch on it
Black Wildlife matierials collar bag with several regular collars in it plus 6 tracking collars

Thanks in advance,
Junior and Daniel Watson

I believe Daniel is 10 years old and one of the lights was his personal light. This is about as low as someone can get at a hunt.
Junior and Daniel are both class acts, so if someone heres of anything for sale that fits what was stolen Please get in touch with Junior.

junior, sorry to hear about this. There are very few things in this world I actually hate but a thief is right up top. Nothing sux worse than working your but off to provide for you and your family only to have some deadbeat thats too lazy to make an honest living for themselves to just steal from others. I dont know of anybody round here that went to the world hunt but I will definately put the word down the pipeline at the meat hunts this coming weekend and if I see or hear anything locally I think I still have your number and I give you a shout.

Very sad

Had a friend that sold dog feed on a small scale....When his truck was gone ...they would come to the door and pay his wife for 1 bag of feed and leave with 1 bag under each arm.........Started a new policy.....Business only when im home....You get less grief if you lock every thing up... sad but true

Here in NC a well known (but not well thought of) coonhunter was busted in 3 counties for stealing hunting dogs and hunting equipment.

He went to court in my county last week and a jury found him guilty, he has a prior record including DUI, Driving with Licence Revoked, Hunting out of Season, Hunting with No License, etc...

The judge gave him 2 years....of probation. Thats what these judges think of hunting stuff? If he had stolen from a Wal Mart or driven off without paying for gas he would have likely got real time?

He still has court dates in 2 other counties, hopefully one of those judges will do right and stick his sorry tail in jail!

I got hit at the PKC world hunt a couple of years ago. I did get my stuff back, and I’ll tell you how I did it. First thing, I called the cops and made out a police report. How can they help if they do not know anything happened, right? Anyway, in the report I wrote down every scratch, nick, or dent I could think of as a way to identify my tracking system and the one collar that they stole. When I got home, I called the tracking system manufacturer and told them what happened and to “flag” these items as stolen if they are ever sent in for repair. It’s a good thing that they stole the one broken collar that I had because a month later it was sent to in have a new battery put in. I got my stuff back, and it’s odd that Chris Herring would mention NC, because the boy that bought the tracking system at the hunt said a guy from NC by the name of “Buck” is the one that sold it to him. No arrest was ever made that I know of but at least I got my tracker back.

I think that you can go to jail for receiving stolen property only if you KNOW that it is stolen when you buy it. This was a 16-17 year old kid that I honestly believe didn't know that it was stolen.
