Two to two vote, leave it as the judge scored it in UKC.

Shane, this is a completely different situation. The rules plainly state it takes a majority to score a coon plus. Circle...

In the original question I would think the dog would get the benefit of the doubt. No minuse...

but mr stevens said two to two.goes with the judge,i know you cant score a coon on a tie vote, you should not be able to minus one on a tie vote...just my opinion,,

Get your rulebook out and read it. The judges ruling stands unless overturned by a MAJORITY vote. 2-2 is not a majority so the judges ruling stands. There are only three exceptions to that rule....scoring a tree, calling timeout and returning to a previously scored tree without waiting the 5. Aside from those 3 exceptions, it always requires a majority (3-1 ,2-1)vote to overturn the judge.
Donnie is right, Marc is half right, Shane is all wrong.

A tie vote cannot be plussed or minused under any situation. The hunting judge does not have any more weight than any other cast member when it comes to scoring trees. His or her vote is not a tie breaker when you have a tie vote. If you do not have a majority when it comes to scoring a tree,

You are correct when scoring trees. That wasn't the question. The question had to do with minusing a dog for moving and in that situation, the minus stays on the card unless a majority vote to overturn the judge. 2-2 vote, the judges ruling stays on the card and you have a question for the MOH.

Shane i think you are right according to the PKC system.Like Jim said there are three times when it takes a majority in UKC,other than that in UKC,it stays the way the judge scored it on a tie vote. You can then take it to the MOH,but they aren't gonna go against the judge on a judgement call that had to be made in the woods.

You have two questions,1st the judge ruled the dog moved, cast vote didn't get a majority to overrule judge, dog is minused on tree. Then you said 2 people saw a coon, where? If it was in the first tree it doesn't matter.2nd was the dog retreed?was the coon in that tree?It takes a majority to score a tree,2 vs 2 gets a circle.
