Morning Hunting

Does anyone on here wake up and coon hunt before work? If so, hows the hunting? I've got a pup that needs her tail hunted off, but I can't always go late in the evenings, but I can sure get up at 4:00am and hunt her some. Any thoughts???

I have but it can make you late for work. It does make the day go better if you tree one.

In the hot summer time,

I like hunting at daylight, better than at dark. Cooler & you don't need a light. And, I also believe that you will tree just as many coon.

Years ago I hunted alot in the mornings. I was surprised at how many good tracks we struck, and the number of coon we treed (on the outside) after daylight. It is good for young dogs, esp. if they can see the coon in the tree, or as it comes down. It will really fire them up.

I hunt like this a lot. Its pretty good, especially about 2 hours before daylight. They seem to be moving good. Trott.

Well I dont like it.I did it a few times this summer and didnt care for it.Our coons are thin and when we got after em they was going way in deep.Tree after daylight. You can forget finding a coon after daylight around here. The leaves are so thick without the eyes shining it was useless.I cant train a dog if I cant tell wether or not its even got a coon! Lots more traffic on the rds early in the mornings also.I think its mor dangerous.
