Texas Invitational/Reunion Hunt

Just curious and wondering why so few members sent in win slips to compete in the Invitational Hunt to be held in February.

Win Slips

I sent mine in for the show and they came back to me , saying they were not signed for.

When you all decide / make up your mind and bend the rules to suit a few members..just lets us know...the slips was to be turned in at the State hunt but it was changed....then voted on to have a member from each club be on the board with full voting rights,,but lo and behold..that didn`t suit the old kings so it was kicked out after the meeting was over because the man who brought it up wasn`t a member, just how much longer do you think you all can get by with this dictatorship?..the majority votes but it gets kicked out...not once but several different times...am I lying no!! and you have the ordasity to ask why no one is sending in slips!! maybe its how it`s run!

Texas Invitational/Reunion Hunt

I appologize for stepping on anyone's toes. I feel like some of the new coonhunters that get bashed for asking a simple quesiton. I know that the General Membership is all new and it takes time to get things "ironed out". But there are still some that won't give anyone a chance. I also learned that if someone is not a member of something, they shouldn't be speaking. How many of you have a clue as to how much time and effort goes into putting on a large hunt?

I sent mine two-day priority on Thursday with Delivery Confirmation, sent in for two dogs for the show, a male and female. The PO gave me a slip showing they'd been mailed and a number to call to confirm they'd arrived.

I received a newsletter from TSCHA

The newsletter gave instructions to mail the win slips to Marty Grounds in Mt. Enterprise. There was no mention of any special mailing requirements.
Just heard from a TSCHA member & she said sending mine to Marty was OKAY & program is operating as it should.

Is there more

Could it be that there's more than one set of instructions or even requirements?
And if so - who's going to make the final decisions?
Is this up to one individual or a committee?

Skyblue, you need to read the letter again. There were specific mailing and/or fax instructions with cutoff date. Everything was explained.

I hope all members of the General Membership will check out the website and read the guidelines. It's very helpful in explaining what we're all trying to do, if given the chance. We appreciate any and all information concerning area clubs and any changes that are being made as far as contacts, etc. Thanks to the Marcums for their update.

is fairly new and is a work in progress. Thank you for the complement, I'll pass it on to its creator. Its just one of the good ideas from the general membership which has been implemented by the TSCHA board of directors. It has been recently updated to reflect the change your wife submitted for Anderson Co CHA's contact person. If other clubs have updates feel free to submit them via the web site as Mrs. Marcum did. Your patience is appreciated since we are not always able to update the web site in as timely a manner as we, and those submitting information, would like. Other recent updates include 1). list of all "active" (AKC, PKC & UKC) clubs in Texas with contact information, 2). list of the TSCHA General Membership including membership renewal dates, 3). list of TSCHA directors with phone numbers and email addresses, 4). Pictures of the four main winners of the 2006 Texas State Championship, and 5). the capability to send a message direcly to all TSCHA board members with email addresses.

just had to figure out how to get registered on this message board to make a comment.
TX STUD is right. i wanted to be a part of this til i heard about all the new rules and changes at the Paris hunt. then the state hunt was much worse. we where told we were to turn in wins at the state hunt now send them to who? knows who?. then let dogs not entred from the start can count their wins if they pay extra money. then add akc? pkc? ukc? wins. what a sham!!!! we where told to HAVE win slips so they can be checked, now fax them. enty money and joining money change. pkc rules? ukc rules? or ack rules? or will it turn out to be a mix? who are the show judges? will it be a ukc show? who knows for sure? i threw away both my win slips and said forget it

Codeblue, if you will go to the website and read the General Membership guidelines, all your questions will be answered. Information under the heading of The Invitational Hunt and Show will be helpful to you. Just to answer one of your comments, no Member paid more money to get their win slips in. If you are a Member and received a news letter, the information about win slips was also explained.
