How old is to old for a dog to be compitition hunted? I am hunting an nine y/o female that seems to still be able to hold her own.

Shan (husband) has a buddy thats hunting a 9 yr old male. Only thing is he's getting kinda hard to hear.

danI dog got a nitech win at 13yrs old at a hunt with 70+ entries, it was pouring down rain he treed 2 coon all to himself because the rest of the dogs kept quiting the track and getting minused. 450+0- 0 circle looked good for an old geezer!!!!

i won a youth hunt with my 11 and a half year old- he scorred 300+ no minus - he was crankin another night and scored 800+ and 400 cirlcle- no minus and he was closer to his 12th birthday at that time- he is 12 and a half now and still the hard of a tree dog as he was at age 7 or 8
