I'm going to be keeping the only surviving female from the litter we raised on a bottle. We started with 12 and ended up saving 5. Mama died when pups were two days old. Lance and I are the only parents she's ever known. LOL. She's going to be a big girl. Mama weighed 85lbs. Dad over 90lbs. She has one big black spot on her back and one at the base of her tail, rest will be open ticked with fawn trimmed feet. She's going to have a pieballed face with black ears and one black eye; kinda like Spanky. I want to name her something special, not a common name. Y'all have any suggestions. I'm not coming up with much on my own. All our dogs start with Myrick's. Thanks, Amy

I HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING YOUR ORDEAL WITH THE PUPPIES, AND MY WIFE AND I ARE REALLY HEARTBROKEN RIGHT ALONG WITH YOU. WE KNOW WHAT IT IS TO CARE SO MUCH, AND HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE LOSSES. WE HAVE LOST THREE DOGS THIS SUMMER. OUR DAM, SIRE, AND ONE PUP.

HERE GOES; "MYRICK'S MURIEL LILITH". OK, I FIGURE YOU ARE FALLING OFF YOUR CHAIR LAUGHING ABOUT NOW, BUT WAIT !! THERE'S MORE. "MURIEL" IS A FEMALE NAME OF LATIN ORIGIN, WITH THE MEANING OF; ANGEL OF JUNE. WAS THINKING OF JUNEBUG ON THIS ONE. "LILITH" IS A FEMALE NAME OF HEBREW ORIGIN, MEANING; SPIRIT OF THE NIGHT. ALTHOUGH "MURIEL LILITH' IS PERTTY DULL, YOU MUST ADMIT "ANGEL OF JUNE SPIRIT OF THE NIGHT" SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD. Thanks for all the great name ideas. It's going to be really hard giving up her brothers. They are all really special to us. We call them our miracles. We are now feeding them completely from a pan. I continue to mix formula for them and mix it with their food. They are eating 2 quarts a day mixed with puppy food. Amy

When I saw the picture of her, the first name that came to mind was Bristol. Myric's Blue Bristol. The reason the name came to mind was because.........................I don't know why- it just did!

Well I ran all these by Lance and he really likes all you have come up with. He especially liked Lilith, Murial, and Bristol. Charles has inspied me to do some research. I checked out two baby name books from work (library). I found these names online. This is the hardest time I have ever had deciding on a name. I've been calling her little girl, but want a real name for her. Y'all keep them coming. This is a great help. Amy

I know the meaning of a name is important to you, but the dog doesn't know the meaning. What a dog does respond to is a name that is Strongly Accented. When you first speak a dogs name you should be able to do it with authority.
