MAN, IT'S COLD HERE! LOL. WELL, NOT COLD, BUT IT'S GETTING THERE!

GOT A FROST WARNING FOR TONIGHT IN EFFECT.


A FROST ADVISORY FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE

JACKSON-MACON- INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...CHEROKEE... WAYNESVILLE...SYLVA... FRANKLIN 355 AM EDT FRI SEP 29 2006

...FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM EDT SATURDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG HAS ISSUED A FROST ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 8 AM EDT SATURDAY.

THE CENTER OF A COOL AIR MASS WILL MOVE EAST OF THE APPALACHIANS TONIGHT. BY LATE TONIGHT...TEMPERATURES ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL MOUNTAINS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 34 TO 36 DEGREES. TEMPERATURES BELOW 36 DEGREES IN COMBINATION WITH LIGHT WINDS AND HIGH RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL LIKELY RESULT IN THIS SEASON/S FIRST FROST. THE AREA BETWEEN ROBBINSVILLE TO TUCKASEGEE TO CANTON SHOULD SEE THE COOLEST TEMPERATURES.

SYLVA IS SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE 3

Amen...

I 'bout froze at the JV football game last night. After the rain cleared out and that wind started blowing...man, you could feel huntin' season on the breeze!! Very nice! Unfortunately I was wearing shorts and a damp shirt....thought I was gonna wind up with hypothermia before it was over with lol.

WHEN WE CAME IN FROM HUNTING, IT WAS STILL PRETTY WARM IN THE HOUSE, SO I DIDNT THINK MUCH ABOUT IT, SO I DIDNT CLOSE THE WINDOWS.

BUT, THANK GOD I DID CUT THE FANS OFF, AND I'M HERE TO TELL YOU, WHEN I WOKE UP AT 3:00 AM THIS MORNING, YOU COULD HAVE HUNG A SIDE OF BEEF IN OUR BEDROOM!

YOU KNOW IT'S COLD IN YOUR HOUSE WHEN YOUR CATS (WHO USUALLY CANNOT EVEN STAND TO BE IN THE SAME ROOM TOGETHER) AND YOUR PUPPY ARE ALL SNUGGLED INTO ONE BIG BALL ON THE COUCH IN THE LIVING ROOM!

I FELT SO SORRY FOR THEM!

I TURNED THE HEAT ON, AND WHEN IT CAME ON, THEY SPLIT IN 3 DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. GRACE WENT TO THE VENT IN THE LIVING ROOM, THE KITTEN (THAT'S WHAT CHEYENNE NAMED IT) WENT TO THE KITCHEN VENT, AND MIDGET CAME BACK TO BED WITH ME! LOL. AND YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT SOME CCCCOOOOLLLLDDDDD LITTLE FEET!!!

I LIKED TO HAVE NEVER WENT BACK TO SLEEP, BUT CHEYENNE SNUGGLED MIDGET UP, AND THEY WERE BOTH GONE IN LIKE TWO MINUTES!!!


ALSO, DID YOU "SMELL" WHEN YOU WENT OUT THIS MORNING?

IT HAD THAT "COLD WEATHER'S A COMIN" SMELL TO IT!!!

I LOVE IT!!

They were movin good last night here. Accualy the last few nights. Even the dogs are full of it. They are wired 440. We treed 3 coons in 2 different trees, in about 30 minutes last night. The dogs were on fire.

Fall, gotta love it. Believe I will take a heaver jacket tonight though.

Yep, crisp clean fall of the year smell. It dang near frosted here this morning. I don't know what the temp was, but when I went out to feed the dew on the grass was tryin' real hard to get "thick" lol know what I mean?

Not to mention watching your breath rise to the heavens as you watch a shooting star blaze across the star lite sky, and listening to an old hound work a cold track through a frosty river bottom. That right there is what it is all about!!!!!!! That right there is what pumps life into me, and gives me the energy to stay out all night.

Glorious fall, there isn't a better time of the year. I don't know how any one can look at the bounty of fall and not feel the energy and warmth of natures colors bathing our spirits and reconnecting us with nature.

its gettin' perty dang cold down here in alabama too... i went out the other night hunting and wore my winter coat lol...maybe this cooler weather will knock the leaves off the tree's so we can see the coons better...

im still hunting without a shirt and just wearing a pair of briarproof waterproof bibs when you got to swim evernight to get to your dog you minimize wet clothing as it cools down ill put the underarmor on

i love this time a year the only prob is here in minn on day it 45 next its 70 then back to 50 its killing me been sick for about 2 weeks but the smell of fall is the best

Yep, it's freezing here. LOL

Currently it is 63 at 9:20 am, which is pretty cool for us. The last few days has been great. Cooler and dryer air. It won't last long. It goes up and down so much here, people get sick easily. But very grateful for what we got. Love it.
