I used one for awhile,it only reached good tracking range with the lithium battery, less than ideal results with regular akaline batteries, some people may have had better results though,i prefer a QT,Wildlife or Johnson collar.

I have had them all. The Marshall is the best made longest range collar out there and the only one that uses AA battrery. The lithumn AA does make it stronger. And MADE IN THE USA.

Love mine

I got a new one with akaline batteries and a Wildlife Magnum. I hung them on the bottom wire of a fence and drove off through the hills and timber of SE Oklahoma. I picked up the Magnum for three miles and the Marshall at just under six. Sent the Magnum back and got another Marshall. That has been over a year now and the only problem I have is with them being so strong at close range it is hard to pin point.

I have two of them that I have been really happy with. I have had a couple of minor problems with them, but Marshall has always been good to fix them for me. I think that my collars were early models, thus the minor glitches. Their turn-around time on repairs can be a little slow, but overall their customer service is great. I haven't had any problems finding my dogs with mine. I recently purchased a Johnson tracking collar to use as a backup to my Marshalls, and while it is a very good collar, it doesn't seem to have near the range that my Marshall collars do.

I have one Marshall and two Magnums and all three are only a few months old. I hung the Marshall and a Magnum on a limb of a sapling and with my Marshall receiver i drove up to eight miles and i could track both.....but the marshall was a little stronger. Both of these collars bump hard at close range but when i put my receiver on close i can track them close. I'm using alkaline batteries in mine but after reading this post i'm going to try the lithium ones...thanks for the info FullCry
