I looked at the website and they were great looking dogs. Do they hunt or have anyhunting ability bred in them? Don't matter if they comp hunt or not but do they actually hunt?

NO!!!! These are AKC showdogs... This happens to be a very old line of breeding. This is where my Webster pup is from. This was a joke for James. NOW, If you were to get a very young pup of this sort... you could probabl train it to pleasure hunt SLOWLY. But I don't think anyone would try!
This particular line of dogs isn't really out there for many folks. She breeds rarely.Keeps show quality. Pets get neutered and spayed. AWESOME PET for a kid! Dylan Loves his dorky overgrown "pup". SLOW growing.
Joking with my friend, she said "the modern AKC Showdog B and T's could not hunt their way out of a livingroom" Webster has a NOSE for sure. He is intellingent and tries to "hunt" like a Me Too dog when the Bluetick is playing with a scent.
Now... I have No idea if the dogs in the background of these are still being used AKC hunting Pedigrees since I don't know those. In the 6 gen. ped. there is MHF (Maple Hill Farm), St John, Stoneyhill, Codach. These aren't seen much any more in the showdogs. Not sure about the akc hunters.
Hope I answered your ?
Take Care!
Heather

Those the Jenneweine pup?

However you spell it.... price range????

I think you should get in touch with Larrypoe and see what Eng dogs he has.... one of THEm could be BLUE! LOLOLOL!
I don't think there are many ugly red pups or red dogs. I Actually don't think there are many Ugly Coonhounds... it's how they perform that's impt. Find out all of that before you buy a pup get REFERENCES and ASk around! I think thats the best bet. ALSO- JUST MY OPINION HERE- if you go for a Red pup be sure it has long ears-they turn out the best looking heads later on. NOT LONG LIKE WEBSTER!!!!! Those just get in the way!

MY CHICKENS

WOuld love you! Bob (hubbie) is the best worm hunter here. We may not farm them...but the chickens love to eat them when he digs them up for him!
What do you do with yours? I know I've asked but... you know there are too many worms in my brain... so I forget!
