NO!!!! These are AKC showdogs... This happens to be a very old line of breeding. This is where my Webster pup is from. This was a joke for James. NOW, If you were to get a very young pup of this sort... you could probabl train it to pleasure hunt SLOWLY. But I don't think anyone would try!
This particular line of dogs isn't really out there for many folks. She breeds rarely.Keeps show quality. Pets get neutered and spayed. AWESOME PET for a kid! Dylan Loves his dorky overgrown "pup". SLOW growing.
Joking with my friend, she said "the modern AKC Showdog B and T's could not hunt their way out of a livingroom" Webster has a NOSE for sure. He is intellingent and tries to "hunt" like a Me Too dog when the Bluetick is playing with a scent.
Now... I have No idea if the dogs in the background of these are still being used AKC hunting Pedigrees since I don't know those. In the 6 gen. ped. there is MHF (Maple Hill Farm), St John, Stoneyhill, Codach. These aren't seen much any more in the showdogs. Not sure about the akc hunters.
Hope I answered your ?
Take Care!
