Yep, I have done it myself.
It may happen more then some think because if you don't have one that wants to end it they may just tree on the edge of the woods after they push it there, be it a swamp or corn field.
This fall I'm a little worried becasue we have distemper in the raccoons and they are not running from any hound or hunter. The CO's I have talked to said its bad this year.
Love to hunt the cattails after it freezes and safe to go out. Some great races and good training for a young hound-- BUT NOT A PUP!
You hunt along enough you will tree one on a corn stalk, highline pole and even catch one on the ground with a wide open hound.`
