Random death

Guys I had and 11 year old walker gyp pass away on me randomly about 2 weeks ago, almost a week ago I got another gyp she was coming 6 had her in a kennel away from where the other dog was kept. Got home from work today and found her dead, she seemed to be as healthy as a horse and I had 3 young pups in with her they are all fine. Am I just having bad luck or what considering the pups are completely fine.

There are rumors out there right now about Purina, but nothing concrete or recalled or acknowledged by Purina at the moment. Just saw a post the other day on a bird dog site about issues with Purina.

Personally I would think if it was the feed it would have affected my other dogs, I know it’s confusing as to what happened

Dog death

I lost a really good female a couple years ago, she was only 7 and healthly as she could be one day and dead the next day. She died around the 4th July and I highly suspect that the fireworks had her excited and I thought she twisted her stomach. I really do not know but I sure hated losing her as I had owned her before she turned 2 and she was a real nice coon dog. Dave

I lost 3 Walker females. All about 16 months old. All fat, slick, and healthy looking. One out of Rolling Hills Dan, one out of McKnight's Rex, and one was a LIpper granddaughter. Two of them were jumping and barking and fell over dead. The other I found dead. This was in a 3-year span.

Loss is never easy. I lost a 7 year old female on January 1st. She was fine, but went down hill fast. I was able to slow her decline down twice, but all I managed to do was to prolong it.

For the first time since 1973, I find myself without a dog. That alone stinks, but what is worse is she was the last living dog I had from dogs that me and friends have been breeding since 1983. I'm hoping I can find a replacement.

I would suspect that one of the few things that all men and women can agree on is all dog's lives are too short!
