Sunspot I hunt 3 to 5 nights a weeks and use the light for chores everyday. After about 5 years or so it needed a new battery, the charger went bad and I think I tosted it to be honest. Sent it in got it fixed and back in less than a week and 10$.

Ive not owned or seen all the good lights out there but they are all good lights and pretty well the same brightness.Walklights are better than some and some slight differences in weight.But the new briteeyes pro is said to be 10× brighter on amber and walklights.And 15% brighter on mainbeam.That should be noticable if thats true.
This time of year i use amber and walklites the most.Im thinking hard about buying one and see.Probably will wait and hear some reviews.

Get you a Brighteyes and you will have one of the Best Lights built.
Ray Conrad doesn't have a Lifetime Warranty but odds are you will.never need to send it in for Repair.
It's a Pain in the rear to have to send in a Light for repairs, believe me I know. A Brighteyes is built right the 1st time so you don't have to send it in.

* Nothing brighter
* Nothing with more burntime
* Nothing more dependable
* Guarenteed Nothing more up to date
* Not a better looking Light anywhere

Why get anything else ?

Tim

A friend of mine just picked me up one of the Pro's at Autumn Oaks. Here is what he said about the Pro.

David Woofter
I was at Oaks today and visited with my longtime Friend Ray Conrad and picked up a couple Heatseeker Pros and Ray is 100% right on the brightness of the walk light and the Amber. Couldn't believe the different in it and my Viper XL. Both great light but the Heatseeker Pro is hands down I believe Ray's best light to date. Thanks Ray for always putting a great light out for us Coon Hunters. Great Job.......Dave Woofter Bristol Ridge Kennels.

I've got 2 10 year old sunspots and both work fine. They are pre walk light. I have a Brighteyes Fusion and it works fine too. The brighteyes does mess up my Garmin though. I kept loosing my dogs on my Garmin and could give someone else my code and they could pick them up. I bought a new handheld and a new collar and was still loosing them. I called Micheal and he sent me the newest Sunspot this spring to the TOC and i don't think I have dropped a dog since.

I can take you any night and with the light off have both collars picked up. Turn the light on and drop both of them. I had an older gentlemen call me and told me to try it. I was very skeptical too but it is a proven fact. I'm not knocking the light at all. It is a great light. It did mess up about a month after I bought it but sent it in and they fixed it and sent it right back, that was over 2 years ago.

I was happy to get my Bright Eyes Heatseaker Pro with the brighter walk light and amber. I got a belt light and the first night I hunted with the Pro I wrapped the cord around my neck like one of the old wheat light and also wore my regular Heatseaker caplight. Might look crazy but man could I see good. LOL.

My friend had his Sunspot Viper on so we compared the Viper with the Heatseaker Pro and we couldn't see a whole lot of difference between the two. The Bright Eyes Pro did have a tighter main beam than the Viper but both looked the same as far as brightness. It would just be a personal preference on how tight someone likes the main beam to be.

My takeaway from the comparison was that the new Heatseaker Pro caught up with what Sunspot was already offering in brightness across the board.

I did not compare the two caplights in weight or balance. I'm sure that is another consideration.

Bottom line in my opinion is that Sunspot and Bright Eyes are both great lights to own and use.

My take on the heatseeker pro is if you want a nice ,bright light you wont be dissapointed.If i had the chance to see the pro side by side to my superior hellkitten i probably would have not bought it because of its price.The walklites are not brighter but the heatseeker pro is a little more flood than the hellkitten which is a + for me.The amber is a shade lighter in color and looks a tad brighter.Floods out good for walking and keeping bugs away.The red is more beam
than the amber on the pro which i like.I dont walk with red just shine trees, and its a tad brighter than the kitten but keep in mind my sup kitten is only one led for amber and red. The main beam is a little brighter and a very tight beam.Will probably notice more brightness difference when the leaves are off.The hellkitten is more comfortable on my head,a little lighter than the pro.Thats a huge plus.But the pro has alot more burn time.Brighteyes and superior are both great companys.If you already have a top of the line light then dont expect the heatseeker pro to blow your mind.But it is definitely a very nice light.

I’ve been using a light from a company named star hunting lights in Kentucky I’ve been using it about a year and it’s been dependable stays charged good it was fairly inexpensive too for what it is, not much for a walk light but the main beam is very comparable to my buddies bright eyes heatseaker his is a little tighter but very little brightness difference
