So much for no recall by Purina

Purina recalled is prescription dog food due to high levels of Vitamin D, which can cause death after prolonged exposure.

One of the more expensive foods on the market and it’s poisoning dogs imagine that. I stopped feeding pro plan when it got over $80 for a bag. I started feeding diamond naturals for $40 a bag. My dogs seem to like it a lot and they look good.

Purina

Purina is top notch when it comes to research and development. I read the article and it says there were 2 dogs exhibiting signs of too much vitamin D and they voluntarily recalled that feed for precautionary measures. Pro-plan IS expensive, but I also believe you get what you pay for. If your choice for change is strictly price driven I can understand that, but it cant be due to lack of quality in their products. Companies feeding as many dogs and pounds as they do WILL have recalls.

Been hearing a lot about Purina chicken feed causing chickens to stop laying. Don’t know if it’s true or not but just because they do a bunch of research doesn’t mean it’s because it’s best intentions are for your animal. It’s most likely about making more money.

I won't argue it's all driven by the almighty dollar, but so is EVERY OTHER company to ever make anything. I've fed it all, cattle, goats/sheep, chickens, dairy, dogs and even cats. Have an animal science degree in nutrition. I'm telling you there is no other research done like Purina does with theirs. Their feed is even bagged with Nitrogen to guarantee freshness. Who else does that?
