Kentucky Dept of Fish & Wildlife require a Field Trail permit at no cost.

I think the permit is more to cover out of state hunters that might come to your club that do not have a Indiana hunting license. The DNR does the same thing with fishing tournaments on State ran property. I think $20.00 is a little much. Clubs are struggling already without having more come out.

State hunt permits

Hunting is a dying sport. This is just one more nail in the coffin. We are lucky to get 12 dogs at a local hunt. Everything the state does is about money but they are not thinking long term. They will no longer have a job when hunting is a thing of the past. For example, they require kids to buy a hunting license. They should allow kids to hunt free until they are 18 and that might produce more hunters for the next generation. Unfortunately this will never happen.

Ours is $2 and that covers 9 consecutive days. The DNR tried to raise it to $8 a few years ago. The State coonhunting Ass. fought it and kept it at $2
