Dog allergies

My friend has an English Coonhound which several different vets tell him that the dog has allergies and they are really getting into his wallet and not doing anything to help the dog with the medications they are using. This dog is a good dog and now he's starting to chew some at the tree and after the Coon is shot out and dead the dog will start rubbing his head on the ground. His ears are really irritating him. Has anyone experienced this with their Hound? Any serious suggestions to help cure will be greatly appreciated.

try an all meat based feed, no corn or soy, alot of dog allergies are feed related.

I would recommend an allergy test. It will tell you what he is allergic to and then u can see if some of it can be eliminated. Cytopoint or apoquel will help get him over flare ups.

I have a collie crossed, yard/farm dog with allergies of some type. Used to have severe ear and skin itching and weeping. Depamedrol works as well as cytopoint for about 1/4 the cost.

Good luck with finding any long term relief.

My buddy has a dog that has been through and is behaving that exact same way. Have changed foods, no luck!
Treated with vet recommended products with no success.

Going to now try a product called HEXZOLE ear flush. Has anybody tried this product? If so has anyone had success??
