2022 NC state championship
The 2022 North Carolina state championship will be held on October 7 th and 8 th at the Stanley County Fairgrounds, Home of American Legion 76 located at 24302 south Business 52 in Albemarle NC 28001. There will be a hunt off on Saturday night after deadline between the 2 high scoring dogs from Friday night and the two high scoring dogs from Saturday night to determine the overall state nite hunt champion. The winner of this cast will receive $1000, 2nd place will receive $500, 3rd place will receive $250, and 4th place will receive $125. Overall show champion will receive $200 and opposite sex will receive $100. Must be a member of a club that has joined NCCHA or buy an individual membership which will be for sale at the event for $20, to hunt or show for overall state championship. We will be having an our basket raffle again this year as well as the Golden Boy raffle.Great food will be served throughout the event.
North Carolina Coon clubs are reminded that club dues need to be paid by Saturday October 8 th to ensure that your club members are eligible to participate for the state championship. You can either pay you dues at the state championship or you can mail them to Melinda Britt at 4049 Limestone Street, Eastover NC 28312. Please include a membership list.
Also clubs are reminded to nominate 2 club members to represent your club at the state meeting which will be held on Saturday October 8 th at the Stanley County Fairgrounds at 12 Noon. Please discuss any concerns that your club might have, and have your representatives bring it up for discussion at the annual meeting. A news letter will be mailed out to each club representative in the next few weeks advertising the upcoming events for the NCCHA, please share these dates with all your club members and urge them to come and participate. It takes us all for these events to be a success and to be profitable and we need these events to be profitable because the money raised is used to fight for you to continue to have the right to enjoy the sport of coon hunting.
