Scratched

If a dog is bothering another dog by smelling
Its rear and the dog getting smelled attackes it to get
It to quit but the other dog doesnt fight back wich dog
Gets scratched. I think both one for interfering in tje hunt and the other for aggresion. Am i correct ?

Really need more information. Was it two males, two females, or one each? Two males, scratch the agressive male, sniffing is not normall agressive behavior. Male bothering a female, is she in heat? If she is scratch her. If she is not in heat scratch the male for bothering her.

Dogs sniffing other dogs rears is natural and normal behavior for dogs…

The dogs bred to compete and win are not bred using natural selection…these dogs are bred to win so…the personalities in the bred to win dogs have little patience for butt sniffing…maybe yes maybe no…

I understand why the rule is in place…if not folks would be pushing the rules and saying their dog isn’t aggressive when in fact it is…

If we start scratching dogs for butt sniffing, that will be the end of competition hunting.

.

It was a close friends dog at pkc youth world.
2 males. His sons dog was smelling the other and
The male being smelled jumped on his. He was scratched for interfearing with the hunt by bothering the other dog. Thats all i no. I just found it odd to get scratched for that.

Now I wasn't there to see it but the rule says that when a fight breaks out you scratch the dog that started it. From your explanation, that is what they did.
