Try a master reset on your handheld.Turn it off and hold your finger on the top left corner.Turn it back on while still holding your finger on the screen and follow instructions it gives you.Youll have to reconnect collars and will loose any settings you did but it could work.Call garmin helpline, they are very helpful.

.

How the lights are flashing on your collar should tell you what is wrong. Your collar communicates with the handheld through the long vhf antenna. Sounds like that is working. Your collar communicates with the sattelites through getting a coordination from its GPS antenna. That is the small box on your collar. Those can go bad or the wire running from the gps antenna through the collar gets damaged. Most of the time right where it going into the collar housing.

When you first turn your collar on it will single flash. Then when its gps antenna starts communicating it will triple flash. Thats the first thing that always needs to be checked. If it is single flashing then it needs repair. Lots of places fix them for around $100 or you can call garmin and they will replace it with one that looks brand new for around $160. You can call grain at 1800-800-1020. Best to take the collar strap off and have your serial number handy that is on batter housing under the strap.
