Cricket
Thanks Kevin for posting about the cross we made.
Vernon, I’m impressed by the calls/texts I’ve received from guys who have a “pup” out of Cricket’s previous litters that are interested in getting another one. Those calls show me that she produces a good enough pup to keep people coming back for more. At ten, she going to need to have a good sized litter in order for me to get everyone that’s booked one a pup.
Even at ten, Cricket still has the get up and go to her. I can hunt her with anything. She doesn’t care, she’s just going to tree me a coon. Where I hunt, that’s something special. She’s a dream for hunting pups with, and a big reason why my young male out of Lobo is doing so well now. Being she’s laid up, he’s having to do it alone now, and he’s progressing well. But I will admit, there are some nights I miss having the old gal out there.
Cricket can take any kind of track to tree. Her winding ability is second to none I’ve ever had on the end my lead.
