I would say, yes. I believe the "continuous" 15 minutes is only broke if the dog goes hunting, but not if time is called to move.

Is that "but" supposed to be a "not"?

This kind of dog is no account......attempting to scratch such a dog IMO is a character flaw......

My rules expert is at a hunt tonight getting rained on but I'm a pretty certain that it is consecutive scorecard minutes. Calling timeout and moving spots does not change anything the time would start where it left off when time was called back in.

Rule says consecutive "scorecard" minutes, UKC has said that timeouts are not "scorecard" minutes. You start and stop the continuous non hunting minutes just as you stop and start the hunt time minutes. You don't start over the 120 continuous hunt time minutes every time you call time out and move.

I thought when the rules started to shorten times up on everything that this rule was over looked. Why should a dog be able to “not hunt” for amost 1/4 of a cast? Draw me 3 of them every time and I won’t complain, lol. If I get beat by a dog that should be scratched for not hunting, I deserve every bit of it.

I know a guy that got a first place like that. other three dogs were taking minus and his dog was following along. He had got a piece of another tree that night Cast walked under a tree with a coon in it. This dog pulls up on the tree . Turned out to be enough for a first

Sonny, that makes 2 of us at least, if a non hunting dog beats mine I don't have much of a coon dog. Yes, it could, but like I said if it does beat mine, I deserve to be beat, plain and simple. Dave

15 consecutive minutes. Time outs does not change it.
So 5 minutes at the end of 1 drop and 10 minutes at the beginning of the next and the dog is scratched.
There is no need for people to tell someone if they got beaten by a dog that didn't hunt that There dog is a piece of crap. It can and does happen.
How ignorant and arrogant is that statement?

Yeah I wasn't looking for a debate just curious how to handle it in a hunt

RatDog, whatever amount of time that remains on the dogs' 15-minute clock is what the dog has left after time is called back in. "Consecutive scorecard minutes" is the key part of that rule that supports this.

If someone wants to scratch a dog that won't hunt because they're afraid it might beat them, imagine how hard they will try to scratch a dog that WILL HUNT.
