Rock is a warmer nosed dog . hunts fast , He wont freeze your toes off waiting on him. usually stays in what you put him in when hunting patch woods. Hes a nice straight dog. average mouth. I think the dog looks better by himself . He will tree with other dogs but acts like he doesnt want to be there. I littler work he could be a dead loner. If coon are moving good he just trees coon after coon. If the coon are not moving good he usually ends up on a den but will come up slick from time to time. Rarely comes back in, hes enough tree dog he gets treed right of wrong. You have to handle him with soft hands . Just raise your voice is punishment enough. He is ok with older pups if you want to train pups with him. He does not like little pups jumping and climbing on him around the house.

I raised him from birth, hes a nice little dog that I and my son have enjoyed hunting. My son is working 3 rd shift now and told me to sale him.

CONS: Rock was a 1 nutter so I had him cut .
He sometimes face barks when you get close to the tree. Not in a mean way , he just gets excited and thinks its fun. The Pups Ive ran with him have never done the same .
I would consider trading guns for him looking for a 12 ga auto or a 357 or 44 revolver

This dog will tree some coon,be a good hound to start a youth out on,they wont get bored while ole blue out boohooing around.this dog gona get treed in quick order.
