Is this the same one that slicks in your other post???

There's an answer that would end both problems, but you won't like it. Been doing this for over 65 years and as Uncle Ron would say, you can't fix Stupid. Or some may say lack of grey matter.

If you have one that does nothing but barks in the kennel and you and him have had a Meet Jesus Meeting and he still does it along with Slick Treeing?? I would say there's a short in his wiring and there are better ones to feed.

Hounds are so much like people it is scary. Some will show up for work and just go and get the job done, if something happens out of the norm, they just can figure it out with no fan fair and you can always bank on them day in and day out to do it right. THEN there are those that have to be the center of attention and make all kinds of noise but they never seem to get the results that are expected.

Wishing you the best
OT

Just remember, while your are walking to slick trees and listening to a kennel barking fool, there are hunters that are not.

I use a no bark collar turned up all the way. That usually fixes the problem. It a week later they are still barking for no reason. A 45 round to the back of their head breaks them from barking for no reason. That is the two cures I have used

Puddy

I have a 8 year old that kennel barks and will slick if I feed to much protein. He will get hyper pace and bark and lock down on every tree a coon brushes against. Simple fix when I figured it out. Usually happens when winter breaks and warm weather sets in. The other 3 hounds don't have this problem. If I watch and listen he will tell me when its time to lower protein.
Maybe this will help.
Good Luck
