Reading what is written above he would go in at 100.

No dog at large was struck in if I understand you correctly. The dogs were scored and the 100 and 75 strike were scored and ready to be used again no different than if all 4 had been scored.

Now if another dog at large had a strike position then you have to go in under them but by what you posted it would be 100 strike on the recast.

Strike

If i read that right dog b has not been scored therefore dog a we'll go back in as 25 strike because dog c and d have not been declared struck you can only strike in for 25 because you cannot take a position that has not been scored yet at that point if I read correctly

Dog a would strike back in for 50. Dog b is the only one holding position at 75. Next available is 50 IF dog b has not been scored.

Richard I think you right, because C and D are still out hunting and looking for a trail to strike. A and B finished the trail and treed so I would think that tree is closed and scored. Now A and B are recast and there is a fresh set of strike points. Correct or not??
I’ve never been comp hunting or coonhunting but I’m learning to be. I’m just seeing if I’m right or close to being right.

We're dog A and B treed together? He mentions recasting A but not B.

Yes that part is very important. I was reading it as they were together but if they were NOT together AND B has not been scored then next available would be 50 because B is holding 75 and the next available is 50.
