 Rule Help

I've been studying the rules, and I see where if a dog is carrying first strike after an hour the strikes open back up, my question is what do you do with the dog that's carrying first strike, I don't see it anywhere. Help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

It keeps that strike until it comes in, 8 catches it, time out is called or it finally gets treed.

Correct. Nothing happens other than the dog keeps carrying the strike position. It would also be only unique scenario where two dogs may be holding the same strike position other than 25.
