Dogtra Pathfinder?

What's everyone thoughts on this? Trying to decide if it would be worth the money? I will be hunting in the mountains just curious how reception is with the unit

In almost perfect conditions, very little blocking line of sight, I tried and could get reception at 3 miles. Out coon hunting I'm neve more than a mile, and usually about 1/2 mile from my dogs and never had any problems. I use an extended antenna on my receiver, extra one I had from old Garmin unit.

So would anyone recommend the Pathfinder over the alpha?? I hunt deep hollers and big mountains and ridges was thinking on buying Pathfinder just like the first question I don't want to waste money on something that doesn't fit the bill

I would, but they are both really good units. Can't really go wrong either way. Sent you a PM explaining why I prefer Pathfinder.

I hunt in some pretty big country & use the pathfinder, I like it enough that I sold my alpha!! No problems with it that I can complain about
