The foundation for our modern Treeing Walkers can be traced back to some very respectable hounds that have not only proven themselves in the timber but also in the breeding pen. Arguably none more prominent than two immortal Stud Dogs who’s sons and daughters were the progenitors for the modern Walker as we know it today. Their names are etched in our memories as:

Now although we rarely see their names on any modern pedigrees, unless u get the 7 generation ones - LOL, the impact they had on our breed is impossible to ignore. And thats where this post gets very interesting....

Recently, within the last decade, some of the remaining frozen semen from these to foundational studs has been strategically used with arguably the best reproducing Walker that has ever lived. She has produced a multitude of winners who have also inherited her reproductive traits as well. You know her only as:

I have had pretty good luck with my Rock dog and I have been line breeding off him and some of my really nice females. got some 1 yr olds that will hang with any of them. I love these rock dogs with Rattler and Jane added to the mix these suckers should be nice if given the chance.
