Looking for some feedback on Garmins Mini Tracking Collars. Do they perform as well as the full size collar? Is the reception good? And how the battery life is.

That's all I run, can't say as a comparison but haven't had any issues. The T5's have a longer range, but I haven't had a dog go out of range on my mini's. I did have a pup that I put my mini on and it jumped out of box and did not realize it until I got 4 miles away where I was going to hunt. Tracked it back to her and found her, safe and un-hurt luckily

I can't comment on range because my bird dog better never crowd a range limit.

But I can comment on battery life of the T5 mini. Awesome. Same for my Garmin Instinct watch.

The range isn’t quite as good on the minis as the regular ones but honestly the range seems to be fine for coonhunting unless your in mountains maybe.

I run one on my jagdterrier and she is often as far as a mile and I still have her , battery life is less but signal seems as strong to me
