How much would you pay for a started pup or dog?
If said pup/dog is 1year old. Will strike,run,tree it's own coon at a 50-65% accuracy.

Nothing. If he'a 50% accurate at one year old he's useless to me.

Add well bred, good looking, big mouth, S/S, deep and alone type and the price goes up to $4,000. Would the poll numbers be different if you asked, what would you sell such a pup for?

Just sold a 7 month old female that had ran loose, treed squirrels, been in the woods at night 5 times and split several times from dogs with opossum or a coon. $1500. She had only treed one coon at the time. Now she's been split 10-15 times and had coons. Id sell another one just like her for the same money if I had one! She was SS and paid up in all ways.

There’s way to many variables to set a one price fits all. Anything from a couple hundred to $6-7000. The most I’ve paid for a 1 year old is $5’000.

seen young started pups sale as high as 15k. she was SS ukc permance . to answer most of yall question pups are worth as much as anyone can get for them. But I will say this most pups are cost more because of SS if a person can hold out an wait till they run out of SS they can buy them cheaper

I know a fella who paid $4K for a 4 month old pup! She won him a truck. He liked her when he bought her, but for sure, no one will ever know how any pup will turn out.

Well a junk running pup just doubled up Monday at the chkc world hunt. That pup I know was bought for a few thousand but they were offered 12k for him at 9 months old. He'll run anything that lays a track some nights and coons only other nights. I've seen him tree at 5 yards and seen him at 3 miles. I've seen him tree anything that will climb. But when he's in coon treeing mode look out cuz you're about to go to school.

A good started pup will sell quick for a lot higher than 1500. Hardly no one wants to put in the time to start one anymore. But they need to be more accurate than the 50% in the original question and have the chrome. If you are going to put the time in a pup to start it right make sure it is bred right and paid up in the programs if you want to get a good price for it.
