Does anyone

Was wondering if anyone uses electric fence for kennel boundary? I put electric fence around backyard every summer for the calves. Would just need to use 3 wires instead of 2. Was thinking that would be 300 x 300 feet or more. Tell me your thoughts please.

Three strands, they will shoot through and then ge afraid to come back. If you condition/train, it might work ok.

I once bought a dog where the guy kept his dogs in electric fence. The dog I got was afraid of any fence be it electric or barb wire.

I think it would be a bad idea.If you keep your dogs penned up like that it will probably come back to bite you in a hunt. What if you was at a hunt and your dog came across a electric fence? Is your dog going to ignore it then or get away from it? I'd say it would not go though it then.

My daughter and grandson use wireless electric "fences". They work very well if you take the time to thoroughly train your dog.
