Dewclaw

Had a hound ripped his dewclaw nearly off last night, it’s still attached but hanging on. It’s swollen and he will not let you look at it. I’m planning on taking him too vet so he can possibly remove it. My question is for those that’s had to do this , how long was it before the hound hunted again?

I had mine tear her toe nail nearly off, I put
superior glue on it for a few days and she was good as new, super glue helps take the soreness out. I actually use it on my own cuts
