BOCEPHUS PUPS
I have 2 males here off Bocephus and different females. They treed their on easy coon by 9 months old, naturally hate coon and prefer them and were naturally straight or easy to break from off game. Big Motor, Big Mouth, Good Looking Hounds that sound like hounds should. Very Accurate. When first starting to tree may locate a bunch of times and be a little slow to settle but once they have their confidence built up they will grab a tree close or deep as fast as anybody's hound and have the coon. Mine hunt hard and fast until struck. They usually are struck within half mile but if not will go to about a mile then start to loop back my way but not the same way they went in. It will look like a big paper clip on the Garmin. They will get a hundred or so yards one way or the other when they start back my way. Very intense tree dogs. Good nose and know how to use it, if track bogs down will drift out and pick it up or find another. Sometimes will scribble a little dot on the Garmin for a few minutes but they aren't opening or Boo Hooing around, they checking trees and if not found within a few minutes they will blast out of there. They Bond with their owner and Love to Please. Very smart. I have hunted with 3 other males from Bocephus and different females and they also had the Big Motor, Big Mouth and Accurate. One of them is in Kentucky right now trying to win the Big Money and I'm pretty sure Johnny Brown is there with Bocephus as well. I think he is about 8 years old now and that's pretty impressive to me the owner still putting him in the Big Hunts and breeding a lot of females. I have only met Johnny one time and he is a fine fellow. I said over 2 years ago and I will say it again, when Bocephus time is up and we are 15 years or more from now we will still be feeling the impact he is having on the breed in a Positive Way. He is the next JBS Chief of the Blueticks.
