I have been using them for about a year now and I love them. They get the job done without causing any damage to your DOG.

I and two of my hunting buddies and use them, I've tried two other well known brands, and the YS500 outperforms them. In my opinion, they are the best bark collar available.

Own 3

Best I have ever used and I have been through a lot of the others. Charge last a long time not sure but over a week for sure and charges easily, can't go wrong in my opinion.

After getting a ticket for my dog barking in town I bought 1, he has it on 24-7. I haven't charged it since July, and it's still working. I've had it for 2 years and have charged it 4 times, it's amazing

.

These are what I personally use. I charge once a week when I have them in use.

I use them on #4 and the only trick is getting the collar adjusted which is the trick to all bark/shock collars.

Please do not put on to tight and rub sores in your dogs neck, that's not responsible ownership in my opinion.

The prongs are pretty long on the YS500 and allows the sores to happen pretty quick.

If you use one, make sure it's just snug enough to do the job and take it off as often as possible.

They do seem to have the hardest hit and are probably the best at keeping a dog quiet. But they are not a collar you can leave on 24/7.

Best dog Bark collar

Before resorting to a bark collar you do need to consider WHY the dog is barking- if the dog is barking due to lack of exercise or because he's chained up in the backyard or he has separation anxiety, try fixing the actual problem instead. No-bark collars are incredibly cruel if used to "cover up" the fact the dog lives in intolerable circumstances.

If the dog's lifestyle is corrected, and the dog continues to bark unacceptably, then a no-bark collar is probably your next best option.

here are some reviews and selection of GOOD brands. You don't want to buy a cheap brand that may malfunction. All of the ones sold by this company are reputable:

I've used the dogtra YS500 No Bark Collar myself with good success.

No bark collars are not cruel to the dog in any sense of the word. They are designed to teach the lesson of there is a time and place for them to be heard, and in my kennels or box is not that time. The collar is a much easier way for the lesson to be conveyed from the days of the conventional means.

.

I agree that dogs barking needlessly indicates something is wrong. I think a bark collar used in the proper way is a valuable tool.
I have one out there now that is 7 months old. I had to use a collar on him for about a week when he was 5 months old. I was then able to remove it and he doesn't make any noise around the pen. Well two days ago some rain moved in and we had two days of storms. That upset him and he went to barking again. I slipped a collar on his neck and he shut right up. I have pens and I have 4 acres fenced the pens sit in. My dogs are let out several times a week for hours at a time and get plenty of exercise along with being hunted.

The only time I could remotely agree that bark collars could be cruel is if they are placed on the dog to tight and left on too long. They can wear sores on the dogs neck. Not correcting dogs and allowing their voice to be damaged is a lot more cruel than any bark collar.

There are two collars that I know work and last. One is the Dogtra YS 600. The second one just came into the market place a few months ago and it is the BL2 made by Garmin. Unfortunately in my opinion Garmin tied the collar into a phone app and made it complicated using it with the app. I use them in manual and actually it is becoming my favorite collar because I use mine in MANUAL. I charge it once a month and choose between tone, vibrate or stimulate. I choose stimulate. It has plastic prongs that are friendlier on the dogs neck. They let the dog bark a few times and then if the dog continues to bark the go to work and they are effective for my dogs.
