I have a set of UKC papers that were signed and dated a year ago by the privous owner. What do I need to do? Thank you.

As far as I am aware there is no time restrictions on the paper work. If you bought it as a puppy and still have the puppy papers and still need to permanently register it I believe the price goes up according to the age of the pup. That information should be on the puppy papers. If your just transferring ownership of a dog already permanently registered all the information is on them for that. I've never seen anything about a 30 day late fee

PKC is now charging $20 on any transfer that is dated over 20 or 30 days I can’t remember, I figure UKC will do the same very soon.

GET THEM SENT IN ASAP Because if original owner wants to file duplicate papers on the dog he used to own guess what UKC will give him duplicates and he Is still the owner of the dog .BEEN THERE .
