i got to hunt with a female out of the litter of impact . she seemed to be more of a trailing tracking type hound instead of a tree grabbing type . i had a good female that could track up feed trails late at night out of the days and nights dozer dog in ohio .i like to listen to a hound trail one up and finish with a coon . i got a litter out of the walker female raised out of my wilcox breed english pups were trailing type that seems to be rare today . if my female hadnt hung herself when i had her loaned to some young boys to hunt her next litter would have been another x -bred litter or maybe one of those lipper hounds . i had some lipper hounds years ago that didnt suit me but they were way better than the tree grabbers i see now days .with that much rat a pure breed bloodhound might offset some of that tree power .lol

Are you looking for a big name stud dog to help sell puppies or a good track dog out of generations of track dogs?

Thomasg I agree about the blood hound I am not looking for big names I have thought about x breed but not sure I am not looking for a dog that let's grass grow but a dog that is like they used to be true track drifters that can flat move an old track like a hot one not babbeling idiot or bark after another dog I have the tree power I want to make better what I have . I like my female and most that hunt with her like her to she does have her faults and I won't hide that but I just want to make a good thing better. Another person asked about if I was looking for big names no I just want pure coon dog to coondog. I will be open to honest about crosses .
