what a hunt
I have been making a lot of den trees lately with my pup so I thought id start early tonight, Right at the top of the mtn a coon crosses the road I give it a min and turn my pup loose The race was on, 10 min later he was treed just 80 yards well that's what my garmin said right off the side of the road , well it was 80 yards straight down so off I go at the 75 yard mark Im on the edge of a 100 foot bluff right where I lost Trudy , good thing is my pup is barking every breath treed, no way to get to him there , I call in some help and we take off to get him from over a mile away where the bluff ends at the road, its a terrible rock bluff infested walk we had to cross 2 waterfalls, after the mile walk were within 100 feet of him he is straight up on top of the bluff still we can see the coon and him, we now understand that the bluff drops 100ft 3 times there is no way to get to him so back out we walk all I can think of is carrying Trudy out that terrible night she fell, we get back to the truck and I decided to drive back up top one more time we pulled to the spot where my pup was 80 yards from, and he came out to me when I called him , wow was I relieved but also proud of him at the same time he was treed solid by his self for 4 hours and 35 min, now here it is febuary so we start home and I feel something , it was a tick I found 4 before I got home on me , what a night!!
