have to agree with olie spring creek or close up finley river. which are hard to find. the coldest nose dogs I ever seen where close up on finley riverchief. wish chief was still here, I would be first in line to breed to him.

Out of today’s dogs. Double tough defender has prob got the coldest nose u will find. He is linebred on the old house stuff. All the older guys say the cold nose came from Clint. Had a female bred just like defender an at 10 months old I seen her tree coons other 5 yr old dog wouldn’t open on track or tree with her. Didn’t know it was there.

Yes I agree, Stay as close to old LIPPER and the JOE HOUSE dogs as you can, LIPPER is still the most sought after stud dog after all these years, reason being is he puts hunt ,nose and that big LIPPER mouth on his off spring, Keith Medley has a very good stock of dogs
They go back to JOE HOUSE BLOOD

Swag has proven that he has an great nose but more importantly, his pups have OUTSTANDING noses on them even when he has been bred to females with hot or average noses. They have a brain to go with the nose. They don't stand on their heads. Swag is a born track dog. I live in the mountains and we have thin coons. He has caught 13 coons that I know of on the ground. The 11 month old pup I am hunting out of Swag caught one on the ground about a month ago.
