Bluetick Days
I know it's still early but guys are starting to put there hunting and vacation schedules together so here is some food for thought.... May 17th,18th and 19th National Bluetick Days will be in Eldon Iowa. Our club will be hosting this event and we have already started to put the pieces together to provide a great hunt. We have over 30 guides lined up with quality hunting in less than a hours drive from the grounds. The hunt will be at the Wapello County Fairgrounds. This location has camping on sight with hook ups for those that wish to camp. There are several local cabins and a couple state parks with cabins for rent close by. There are several motels close by as well. The ladies that work the kitchen at the Troy coonhunters put out some dang fine quality food and you won't walk away hungry I promise. We will have plenty of room for vendors. We do our best to put guys in good hunting that if the dogs do their part any cast has the chance at being an overall winner. The Des Moines River lays adjacent to the hunt grounds and this will be prime time for some big catfish if your up for some fishing. We are going to have a field trial, water race , bench show and the hunt. This isn't a coon zoo but we sure enough have a good coon population with great hunting that should see some real nice scores come in. I will be off all week for those that want to come early for some pleasure hunting and catfishing. I can't guarantee everyone a win but I can guarantee I will do my personal best to see to it everyone has a great time.
