Is there any Garmin dealers that take either collar in on trade for new or refurbished ones ?

yes garmin will not step up and fix the factory defects but double u huntin supplys somewhat will make it somewhat bearable

Call Garmin customer service and send them in yourself, cost you around $200 or so and they will send you refurbished collars.
