Tracking systems are allowed to be used so long as they do not have the ability to shock or tone a dog. Even if the prongs are removed from the collar, it still cannot be used. In the situation that a handler only has a collar with the ability to shock and/or tone, the collar may be worn by the dog and may be turned on, but the hand held must be left in the truck.
Examples of collars that can be used;
Garmin T5, DC 40, DC 50, Dogtra Pathfinder TRX GPS Only collar.
Examples of collars that cannot be used;
Garmin TT15, Dogtra Pathfinder E-Collar.
These are not the only collars that are and are not allowed, but they paint the picture on what the rules mean.
