The Carolina Youth Challenge will be held at the fox pen in Hallsboro, NC on November 18, 2017. We having been having this youth hunt for 8 years and it is a very nice youth hunt sponsored by Twin State Coon Club, Coastal Coon Club and Columbus County Coon Club. There will be a YEP meeting at 3 pm , Bench Show starts at 4 and the Hunt deadline is 7. Events start at 12:30 with a treeing contest, then there will be a coon squalling contest with each youth getting a new coon squaller. We are giving 20 places in the hunt, with each place getting a light, a bag of dog food and a trophy. Every youth at the event will receive a t-shirt. The kids eat free all day long and we will accept donations from the adults. Please come out and enjoy a fun filled day .Any questions please contact David Marlowe at 910-840-9269 after 3 pm. What’s the address to this club where the hunt will be held? Is this a sanctioned hunt? What rules will be used?

It is a UKC youth event. All dogs will hunt together using UKC rules, off game will get you scratched. The address is 3818 Sam Potts Highway, Hallsboro, NC 28442. It is located at Old 74 Fox Preserve, Hallsboro, NC

Thanks for the reply but we hunt crossbreeds and would not have time to register before then. Good luck, I hope a lot of kids show up.

Thanks to all that came out and supported the youth hunt. We had 10 cast of dogs for he hunt and around 25 or 30 in the show. If you were not there please make plans to attend next year!!
