In recent years the B@T numbers have been up in the finals and had a couple in the final cast recently.
Do you believe the incentive fund has had anything to do with that?
If it was broken down into tiers would that help draw interest such as: 1st $10000, a final 4 appearance could pay something, a top 20 maybe.
Just curious if people try any harder now?
I did hear people talking about it at the finals.

I'm surprised that you don't see more people try Black dogs. I'd like to see the amount increase... after I feel I have the one that is going to win. 🙂

I don't think the 10k has anything to do with... If it was increased each yr it would make a difference when the fund got into some serious money. You'd see more pro handlers leading blk dogs if the prize was $100,000. Of course anytime money is involved it attracts some less than desirable characters........

I believe it has helped a lot.
as fa as a tier type level well the top male and female get $1000.00 each year, That is not a lot but it will help cover some of there expenses.
It probably wouldn't hurt to give something to anyone that places in the top 20. that would be a good idea I think.

I think it has helped a great deal. I know people that never led a black dog before are now leading a pretty good one. I think that carries over to the other KC as it appears more are there as well. I think it carries over because now people are out looking for a black dog to compete with, and they don't care which registry once they find one that can win.

You would think for the length of time the $10K has been up for grabs, they would have put it into an account that compounded interest. By now it could have been worth $10.050.!
