Squaller question...

There's single, double, and triple reed calls. Whats the difference in sound? What do you prefer? Ive got a zepps plus points, and its kind of low and growly. Looking at getting something different, and curious about the reed situation. Thanks fellas. I heard a badman and a mity max this weekend and they sounded real good.

You can believe me or not, but last night at the supper stakes I was squalling my dogs tree and something hit me in the leg. About knocked me down. I spun around and it was a coon that I squalled IN TO MY TREE! I've squalled a bunch of trees and I have never seen that. I was using Josh's pinnacle squaller.

Squallers......

I had bought the Zepps Lifetime a couple of years ago at Autumn Oaks.....it did fine until cold weather set in that year....then it started to freeze up. Yeah, it was under warranty .....but to me it's a pain the butt to ship stuff out that doesn't work like it should. I don't use it anymore and have never bought another of that brand, it was JUNK from the start. I have a Mity Max that is about 15 years old and still works as it should. Last year I bought the Badman.....it's Nice and sounds great. But the Old Reliable one is the Mity Max.
Most of the time I just use my mouth, no Squaller needed. People have told me that I sound better than any Squaller they have heard.....the Coons look too.....👀
Tim

If you have any squaller questions feel free to PM me. These posts get deleted if I try to answer questions most times.

I will say that the number of reeds has little bearing on the effectiveness of a coon squaller, and anything more than two is a waste

Michael I squalled a coon up Shawn Woods leg at a $500 added in Clarksdale mo. Paul Wegner squalled one up a tree his dog was on once, and I squalled a coon to a tree being scored and had to shoo it away. I walked the minute right at it and treed it off the recut lol.

They'll do amazing things sometimes

That's exactly what happened with me Friday. I had my back turned to it and never seen it coming until hit my leg. Walked my minute and cut him that way. He Treed him in short order. I told the guide I had never been in coon so think you were in danger of being attacked!

The Pinnacle from Big Show Gamecalls is the absolute best that I have found if the coon is there it will make it look.

He hasn't shipped too many yet I believe. I ordered 1 the day it was available to preorder. I'd also say if he's making it. It will preform as stated. I've got a chatterbox2 that I'm still using on the original Reed's.

It is a little harder to run, but still easy. It also comes with Pinnacle reeds as well if that is the sound you are looking for

I drew out with a guy several years ago that used his mouth instead of a squaller. He'd have us stand more to the bottom of the tree and turn out lights out and then he made more of a chattering sound than a loud squall. He'd make that would for a couple of minutes and then we would turn our lights on and the coon would be hanging on the side of the tree a few feet above the dogs. i've moved some around on the limbs and a handful down and out squalling with my mouth but nothing like that guy could do.

I've gotten tons better at squalling. But using my pinnacle I've squalled 2 out, and I never thought I was gonna be able to do that. Love it.
