beagles are beagles. they are black,black n white,tri color,red,liver,lemon,bluetick,black n tan and more but they are beagles. when they breed them there beagles.
coonhounds are not. some even think xbreed is a breed??
so why are coonhounds not coonhounds instead there walkers,or english and so on. why did things go this route?

It would take a book to answer that question. You would have to go back to the very beginning to see how the different breeds evolved. And they weren't seperated, they were formed.
Different types were developed with different characteristics or traits. These different types were given different names to differentiate them.

Same reason there are different makes of cars. They all do the same thing, but people still will only buy a certain brand. All breeds will tree coon, but people like their own (brand).

Not really wanting a poodle, it could show up if it's not purebred ,in a breed, from the past. If I had a poodle and a Bluetick cross, the genetics would be all over the place it's already hard enough as it is to get a good one .

Walkers and Plotts are named after a family or individual and are always capitalized because they are proper names Blue tick and black and tan are pretty obvious where their names came from. The redbone has me puzzled. Are their bones red?

It used to be that you could tell which breed was which by just listening to them perform without ever actually seeing hem, but what I have observed in the last 15 years is that there is as much difference within a breed as there used to be between the breeds. Selection for different traits to take advantage of the competition rules is the main driver for most breeders. Selection used to be driven by the price of fur. Selection is still being driven by money but from the winners circle instead of fur markets. Having only one breed would create too much genetic diversity to be able to predict the performance of future generations. There is too much now within each breed now. If I like a dog and look at their pedigree and see a certain bloodline that I have had previous bad experience with it almost makes me sick. Because dogs do produce the dogs traits of their ancestors and usually better than we'd like.

i feel there isn't much difference between the different breeds either. the same traits can be found in all breeds so other than preference of color im not sure why even have the different breeds?
