Everybody Calm Down
Look, there was nothing wrong with where the 2017 world hunt was held at. The grounds were nice, the area was nice, and the people were nice. I had a great guide and hunted good woods. No complaints there.
The scores reflected typical coon hunting in the south in September. The coons are a little thinner than other areas, so the handler and/or dog can't make many mistakes and finish with plus points. All there is to it. Just different than other areas of the country.
My only complaint, as stated in my previous post, was with the judging. And I don't blame the club for that. In my opinion, UKC should ensure only the best judges for this one hunt that understand the importance of every single judgement call they make.
I had fun, and will give it a shot next year.
