Quality to quality

I understand breeding the best to the best . But what about all the outstanding dog's that help produce outstanding dog's that were off just PR dog's ? Like Montana mountain Ranger . Big G farms red pepper . We're they pleasure hunted never given a chance in the hunts ? Where they bear dog's ? Or another big game dog ? I've noticed the bear dog's turning out some nice coon dog's. In the redbones breed and plott hounds and blueticks especially south east. Where they placed in the right hands or just natural coon dog's ? I know there's a lot more then the 2 I named just I have limited knowledge and resources at the moment .

I agree with that very much .

Justin

That's not what I mean . Where these kind of dog's off that old man's yard that always had great dog's but did it for pleasure or could they of been off just 2 ordinary dog's and somebody got lucky ?

Maybe not in other breeds...but there is less than a hand full of 3 or 4 generation all Grand pedigrees Redbones and they are big winners and have reproduced big winners.
Lots of people like to throw the all grand term out there saying their dog can produce an all grand litter....but only a few ever have where one of their offspring actually made Grand Nite...
Dual Grand Ch. Nighty Nite Amber x Dual Grand Ch. Outlaw Billy the Kid was one of the first crosses in over 10 years after the first and only previous 3 generation all Grand cross produced Grand Nite offspring.
The BTK x Amber Cross produced 2 Grand Nites and a Nite Champion and one of those (Little Red Billy) went on to make Grand and win Southern National Redbone Days not once but Twice over a 3 year period.
His littermate sister Grand Nite Champion Outlaw Billy Jean is the first and only Redbone female that could ever produce a 4th generation all Grand offspring if bred to a male that could do the same...and there was only 1 male in the history of the breed who could do that and that was Dual Grand Ch. Outlaw Jesse James Jr.
The cross was infact made using frozen semen because JJ Jr was dead. From that cross there were two stand outs that have titled and won a lot and one of them is Dual Grand Champion All Grand Outlaw G Man.
G Man has probably won more than any other Redbone has as.a.1,.2.and 3 yr old. He made Grand Nite at 2, has won national grand nite at Autumn Oaks, reserve PKC Redbone days champ, only Redbone to make it to finals of senior super stakes, has won a combined total of over 20k in PKC and CHKC money hunts making him a Gold Champion and placed in so many other hunts I have lost track.
So actually, I am pretty sure that every single true 3 generation or more all grand Redbone cross that is old enough to have pups of the age they can actually be winning much in the hunts .....has infact shown to produce multiple winners from each all grand cross.
Most of the time when you see the term "all grand" used it is describing a cross between 2 two generation all grands and the cross has never produced a Grand Nite Champion which would be needed for it to be a true 3 gen all grand stud or dam.
As far as I know there has only been five 3 generation or higher all grand pedigrees dogs who also made Grand Nite and those are all closely related from the same line.
Dual Grand Champion Outlaw Jack
Dual Grand Champion Outlaw JJ Jr (littermate to Jack)
Dual Grand Champion Nighty Nite Little Red Billy
Grand Nite Champion Outlaw Billy Jean ( littermate to Billy)
And Dual Grand Champion All Grand Outlaw G Man ( put of Outlaw JJ Jr x Outlaw Billy Jean)
