Outlaw Red Moon

I'd be interested to gather together as much information on this dog as I can, anything anyone knows about him would be great! Hunting style, reproducing ability, pictures, whatever you've got. I know hardly anything about him and would just like to know more. Thanks in advance

Ed berry raised a litter off him my first redbone was off that litter
She was high scoring dog at Meadville zone on Friday night one year and zone winner two years I think
Moon was a fast track dog ran cold tracks like they was hot
And good looking sucker won oaks bench show
Litter mate to mine won nat days show that same year going in to sat night my female and eds male was two of three reds with two cast wins and we drew each other and was no cast winner lol
That litter turned out very good but they had way to much go roads took several out Robbie Turk owned a Grnt female off that litter in Texas

Yep Moon was a big leggy dog out of Key's Jessie and Timber Jack. He was about as close to Timber Jack as we had back then. He was the best natural track dog I've ever hunted with and he was only 2 years old at the time. He would drive tracks that most dogs couldn't smell. Had that big loud Timber Jack locate and never ending chop on the tree. Treed at about 90 barks a minute up on the tree and had a really good mouth. He was also one of the best looking redbones of that era winning about every show there was in the 90s. He was a world class show dog that was also a really good competition dog. First strike almost every time and liked to get by himself as he got older. Very independent dog like his half brother Too the Max.

Sure would like to see some pups out of the frozen semen Jordan has put back. My first Redbone pup was a littermate to Moon and man was she a coon treeing winner. Dual Grand Champion Outlaw Timber Girl was the Redbone to beat in the early 90's. She is also in a lot of pedigrees of some big winners and reproducers....like Montana Red Mountain Ranger, G-Man, Jump Em Up Jeb, Outlaw JJ Jr, Reptile Red, Smoking Red Buck, Moonlight Woody and many many more.
Maybe with any luck some of this old blood will make its way back into the breed through some line bred females.
